A Student and a Community Organiser in Dubai UAE.
My Message
I’ve been privileged to live in interesting times and in interesting places, Gurgaon in North India, Johannesburg in South Africa, Mumbai in West India, and now in the booming megapolis of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. My diverse experiences have driven me to explore the community around me – sometimes at a feverish pace and to find ways to participate and give back to the local communities that I am fortunate to be part of.
Community Organizer
As the founder of The Help Initiative, Veda was pivotal in raising awareness, funds and supplies for the earthquake-impacted people of Syria and Turkey. Veda stoked the groundswell of support from the local community to raise over 850 kg of groceries, supplies and other relief materials.
The Help Initiative delivered this to the affected population via the Dubai Red Crescent chapter.
Award-winning Student
An avid participant and fierce competitor in academic and co-curricular challenges, Veda is the Global Grand Prize Winner of the Sustainable Cities – Climate Action essay at the Trust for Sustainable Living (TSL) at Oxford University in the United Kingdom.
Veda has been amongst the top 15 Students at the World Scholars Cup – Tournament of Champions at Yale in 2022
Working with Industry
Making the most of her internship with Aster DM Healthcare in the summer of 2022, Veda worked with the Aster Marketing and Digital Health Team to build a competitive positioning for the myAster Digital Health app – currently the top Free Medical app on the Play Store and App Store.
Creating HealthTech Solutions
Building on her experience and interactions with paediatricians and new mothers, during her time at Aster Hospitals and Clinics, Veda designed and launched a paediatric Vaccine App – helping parents plan, understand, schedule and get reminders for the vaccines recommended for their children.
